Mass Demonstrations in Morocco Condemn Israel’s Genocidal War,
\nSiege, and Starvation Campaign in Gaza<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Thousands
\nof Moroccans took to the streets on Sunday in several cities to protest against
\nthe genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, and
\nto reject the systematic starvation policy claiming the lives of
\ncivilians\u2014especially children.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Citizens
\nresponded to calls made by civil organizations, most notably the Moroccan Front
\nin Support of Palestine, organizing mass rallies and sit-ins in northern cities
\nsuch as Tangier, Tetouan, and Fez. Demonstrators voiced their outrage at the
\ninternational silence, chanting slogans demanding an end to the siege, the
\nprevention of famine, and the rescue of the besieged population.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Protesters
\nchanted against the forced displacement of Palestinians and condemned the
\nblockade and starvation, demanding the urgent entry of humanitarian aid and an
\nend to the catastrophe imposed on Gaza through a deliberate Israeli decision
\nbacked by international powers.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ndemonstrations coincided with an announcement by the Gaza Ministry of Health
\nthat the death toll from starvation had risen to 175, including 93 children.
\nThe situation continues to deteriorate as Israel maintains the closure of all
\ncrossings since March 2, barring the entry of food and medicine and pushing
\nfamine indicators to \u201ccatastrophic\u201d levels.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Since
\nthe beginning of the assault on October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has
\ncarried out mass atrocities, resulting in more than 210,000 dead and wounded,
\nin addition to 9,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands displaced, all
\namid a suffocating siege and escalating famine that continues to claim innocent
\nlives.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
