Rise in Islamophobia Crimes in Germany: 930 Incidents Over 9

German
\nauthorities reported 930 Islamophobia<\/b> (anti-Islam) crimes in the country
\nduring the first nine months of 2025, according to a government report
\npublished on Monday in response to an inquiry submitted by the Left Party
\nfaction in the German Parliament.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nreport showed that the Federal Criminal Police Office received 469 reports of
\nanti-Islam crimes in the first quarter of the year, 316 in the second quarter,
\nand 145 in the third quarter.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

A total
\nof 283 suspects were identified in Islamophobia-related crimes during the first
\nquarter, 172 in the second quarter, and 85 in the third quarter, while five
\nindividuals were detained without any prison sentences issued against them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nreport indicated that 31 attacks targeted mosques between January and September
\n2025, resulting in 38 people being injured.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Islamophobia
\ncrimes included incitement to hatred, insults, threats, the use of
\nunconstitutional organization symbols, as well as property damage and physical
\nassaults.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nreport confirmed that the majority of these crimes were committed by far-right
\nextremists, highlighting the ongoing challenges related to hate and extremism
\nin Germany.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
