More than 100
\ninternational humanitarian organizations<\/b> on Wednesday called on governments
\nworldwide to take urgent action to open all crossings with the Gaza Strip and
\nto facilitate the immediate and sufficient entry of humanitarian aid through a
\nUN mechanism. They stressed the necessity of an immediate ceasefire and ending
\nthe blockade imposed on the Strip<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In a joint
\nstatement, the organizations said the siege by the Zionist occupation forces
\nforces relief workers to stand in food queues under the threat of gunfire,
\nwhile Gaza\u2019s residents suffer from hunger and daily massacres, especially at
\naid distribution points<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

They pointed out
\nthat since early July, the Zionist occupation forces have killed more than 875
\nPalestinians while they were searching for food, including 201 targeted on aid
\nroutes, and the rest at distribution points<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The statement added
\nthat vital aid\u2014including food, water, medicine, and fuel\u2014is piling up both
\noutside and inside Gaza without being distributed due to restrictions imposed
\nby the Zionist occupation, causing widespread famine and disease, especially
\namong children and the elderly, amid a severe shortage of essential supplies
\nand a near-total collapse of the health and environmental systems<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The organizations
\naffirmed that “the humanitarian system has not failed but has been
\nprevented from functioning,” noting that the average daily entry of trucks
\ndoes not exceed 28, a number insufficient to meet the needs of over two million
\npeople<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The statement
\ncriticized what it described as \u201cempty promises\u201d regarding expanding aid,
\nemphasizing that days are passing and death continues to claim more lives due
\nto preventable hunger and diseases<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The organizations
\nconcluded with an urgent call to governments to take decisive steps, foremost
\namong them: imposing an immediate and permanent ceasefire, lifting the
\nblockade, opening the crossings, ensuring aid reaches all areas of Gaza, and
\nhalting arms transfers to the Zionist entity. They stressed that partial
\nairlifts and piecemeal deals do not fulfill the moral and legal obligations to
\nprotect civilians and save those who can be saved<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
