Morocco: Protest
\nRally in Solidarity with Palestine and Condemning the Zionist Occupation\u2019s

Dozens of Moroccans took part in
\na protest rally on Friday evening in the capital, Rabat, in solidarity with
\nPalestine and in condemnation of the genocide and siege imposed by the Zionist
\noccupation on the Gaza Strip.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The rally was called by the
\nAction Group for Palestine, a non-governmental organization, and held in front
\nof the Parliament building. Participants denounced the continued targeting of
\nPalestinian civilians and the prevention of humanitarian aid from entering the
\nbesieged enclave.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Protesters pointed out that the
\nlimited humanitarian aid that has reached Gaza under the ceasefire agreement
\nbetween Hamas and the Zionist occupation since October 10 has failed to end the
\nfamine or address its consequences, amid severe economic deterioration that
\nhampers Palestinians\u2019 ability to secure their basic needs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Organizers said the rally came
\nin response to a call by Hamas to organize weekly \u201cangry\u201d marches around the
\nworld in rejection of the ongoing genocide carried out by the Zionist
\noccupation against civilians in Gaza.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants chanted slogans
\ncalling for continued support for the Palestinian cause and condemning the
\nongoing targeting of civilians, including: \u201cO resistance, march with the flood
\nuntil liberation,\u201d \u201cWe are all Palestine,\u201d and \u201cWe are all Gaza.\u201d They also
\nraised Palestinian flags and banners reading: \u201cAgainst Zionist crimes\u2026 a year
\nof solidarity and struggle,\u201d \u201cThe Moroccan people stand with the unity of the
\nnation against aggression\u2026 with the resistance until liberation and the
\noverthrow of normalization,\u201d and \u201cStop the genocide and starvation in Gaza.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the
\nZionist occupation, with U.S. support, launched a genocidal war against the
\nGaza Strip on October 8, 2023, resulting in the killing of around 72,000
\nPalestinians and the wounding of more than 171,000 others, most of them women
\nand children. Approximately 90 percent of civilian infrastructure has also been
\ndestroyed.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
