The Republic of
\nBulgaria witnessed broad participation by Muslim youth in the \u201cThe Mosque in My
\nLife\u201d competition, organized by the Office of the Grand Mufti for the second
\nconsecutive year. Nearly 200 young men and women took part in this cultural
\nevent, reflecting the deep connection of younger generations to mosques and
\ntheir role in their lives.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The competition aims
\nto strengthen emotional and cultural ties to historic mosques and to encourage
\nyoung people to express the role of the mosque in their lives through art and
\nliterature, contributing to the preservation of Islamic heritage and the development
\nof creativity among the youth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Three Artistic Fields and Three Age Categories<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Participants
\ncompeted in three main artistic fields: drawing, poetry, and essay writing,
\nacross three age categories: 7\u201313 years, 14\u201318 years, and 19\u201325 years.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The drawing category
\nfocused on five prominent historic mosques: Abu Bakr Mosque in Yambol, Sary
\nHussein Mosque in Provadia, Kurshumlu Mosque in Silistra, the Clock Mosque in
\nTargovishte, and the Central Mosque in Veliko Tarnovo.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Awards and Official Recognition<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Office of the
\nGrand Mufti announced the competition results, awarding cash prizes to the top
\nthree winners in each category and field: 80 leva for first place, 50 leva for
\nsecond place, and 30 leva for third place. The prizes will be distributed through
\nthe regional muftiates according to the winners\u2019 places of residence.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Office also
\nexpressed its thanks and appreciation to all participants, praising the
\nsubmitted works and the strong interest shown by the youth. It emphasized that
\nthese contributions help preserve the memory of Bulgaria\u2019s prominent historic
\nmosques and enhance their presence in public awareness.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201cThe Mosque
\nin My Life\u201d competition is considered an important step in the cultural and
\neducational revival of Muslims in Bulgaria, as it contributes to building a
\ngeneration that is aware of its Islamic heritage and capable of expressing it
\nthrough contemporary creative means.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Such initiatives can
\nbe further strengthened through broader support from the Islamic world by
\nexchanging expertise in youth and artistic programs, ensuring the
\nsustainability of these efforts in nurturing young people and reinforcing their
\nrole in preserving Islamic identity.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
