Islamic
\njurists have established several principles before issuing a judgment on any
\nmatter. One such principle is \u201cjudging something is a branch of understanding
\nit.\u201d A jurist should not issue a ruling on a matter until he fully comprehends
\nit to ensure the judgment aligns with reality; otherwise, the ruling may be
\nsignificantly flawed. Many fatwas on Freemasonry were erratic upon its
\nemergence because many jurists did not truly understand it. Similarly,
\njudgments on smoking were issued without knowing its definite harm, among other
\nmatters that require thorough understanding for the jurist to make an accurate
\nand precise judgment<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Global Zionism stems from ideological
\nand racist foundations, aiming to establish Israel\u2019s goal as a Jewish state for
\nall Jews.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

One
\nsuch matter is the judgment on the World Zionist Organization and its resulting
\ninstitutions, and thus, the judgment on dealing with them and participating in
\nsome of their projects and activities. Therefore, it is necessary to first
\nunderstand this organization, its reality, objectives, and methods<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Foundation and Principles<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nfirst person to use the term Zionism was the Austrian Jewish philosopher Nathan
\nBirnbaum in 1893, derived from the word \u201cZion,\u201d one of the biblical names
\nreferring to Jerusalem. Zion is a mountain in Jerusalem, and from it, the term
\nZionism was coined to denote a new ideology in which Jewish identity is shaped
\nas an independent sovereign nation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nWorld Zionist Organization can be defined as a political ideological movement
\nthat emerged among Jews in Eastern and Central Europe with the aim of
\nestablishing a national homeland for the Jews by colonizing lands outside
\nEurope. This culminated in the establishment of an ethnocratic state in
\nPalestine in 1948. The organization played a pivotal role in founding the State
\nof Israel and promoting Zionist ideas globally. It was founded in Basel,
\nSwitzerland, on August 30, 1897, where its founder, Theodor Herzl, succeeded in
\nconvening the First Zionist Congress. (1) Two key outcomes of this congress
\nwere:<\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

1.<\/span><\/b> The proclamation of the first statement of the
\nZionist movement, known as the \u201cBasel Program,\u201d aimed at establishing a
\nnational homeland for the Jews under public law.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span><\/b> The establishment of the \u201cZionist Organization,\u201d a
\nstructural framework that includes all Jews who agree with the Basel Program.
\nIn 1960, it obtained its current official name; the \u201cWorld Zionist
\nOrganization.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The usurpation of Palestinian lands by the Zionist
\nMovement is a violation on the rights of Muslims to their land and sanctities.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nglobal Zionist organization is ideologically racist, striving to achieve the
\ngoal of the State of Israel as a Jewish state for all Jews, meaning that any
\nJew worldwide has the right to become an Israeli citizen merely because of
\ntheir Jewish faith. Conversely, non-Jews residing in the occupied land of
\nPalestine, whether in areas occupied in 1948 or those occupied in 1967, are not
\nconsidered legitimate citizens, despite being the original inhabitants. The
\nZionists succeeded in officially passing the Jewish Nation-State Law on July
\n19, 2018, after its first introduction in the Knesset in 2011.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Objectives
\nof Global Zionism:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> *<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Encouraging
\nJewish immigration from around the world to occupied Palestine by removing all
\nobstacles that may hinder it.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> *<\/span><\/b>Collecting funds to support the Zionist project, such
\nas establishing numerous donation funds like the \u201cKeren Hayesod\u201d to support
\nsettlement in areas occupied in 1967.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> *<\/span><\/b>Strengthening Jewish identity and Zionist culture by
\npromoting the idea of belonging to the so-called \u201cPromised Land\u201d and reviving
\nHebrew as a national language for Jews.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

To
\nachieve these objectives, the organization does not shy away from using any
\nmeans to usurp as much Palestinian land as possible through various methods
\n(deception, coercion, collusion with the British in the past and others
\ncurrently, etc.). Some of their prominent tools and activities include:<\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> *<\/span><\/b>Mobilizing international support to provide
\nunconditional and unlimited backing to the usurping state by establishing
\nstrong \u201clobbies\u201d to influence decision-makers in Western countries, especially
\nthe United States, where the largest Zionist lobby exists, with presidential
\ncandidates competing to please them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> *<\/span><\/b>Using funds like the \u201cJewish National Fund\u201d to
\npurchase land and finance settlement projects.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> *<\/span><\/b><\/span>Controlling education and media by establishing
\nschools, controlling universities and research centers, owning various media
\noutlets, and pressuring writers and opponents of the Zionist idea under the
\nterrorism of anti-Semitism, which has come to mean opposing \u201cIsrael\u201d regardless
\nof the reason, and portraying Jews as victims despite committing war crimes.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Zionism as part of a broader scheme to
\ndismantle the Islamic Ummah and deplete its resources, and we were ordered to
\nfight to attack us.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Zionism and the World<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nUN General Assembly Resolution 3379, adopted on November 10, 1975, with 72
\nvotes in favor, 35 against, and 32 abstentions, determined that Zionism is a
\nform of racism and racial discrimination. The resolution called on all nations
\nto combat the Zionist ideology, which it stated posed a threat to global
\nsecurity and peace. This resolution is often cited in discussions related to
\nZionism and racism. Unfortunately, the resolution was revoked by Resolution
\n46\/86 on December 16, 1991, as Israel conditioned its participation in the
\nMadrid Conference of 1991 on the repeal of Resolution 3379.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Islamic Sharia Position on Global Zionism:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

After
\nthis brief overview of global Zionism, it is evident that Islamic jurists
\ncategorically reject global Zionism and, consequently, any dealings that would
\nstrengthen them or facilitate their criminal goals. This rejection is based on
\nreligious, ethical, and political foundations related to the principles of
\nIslam and values of justice, as well as a historical and contemporary
\nunderstanding of the Zionist movement and its objectives. Here are the main
\nreasons upon which they base their stance:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

First:
\nRejection of the Usurpation of Any Islamic Land<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

As
\nwe have seen, global Zionism is based on the idea of seizing others’ lands. The
\nconcept of usurping others’ rights is generally forbidden in Islamic Sharia,
\nespecially when it concerns sacred land that is the site of the Prophet’s night
\njourney and contains the first Qibla for Muslims. This belief is integral to
\nMuslims’ faith. According to Islamic jurisprudence, Palestine is considered an
\nIslamic Waqf (endowment) that cannot be relinquished or dealt with in a way
\nthat harms Islam and Muslims’ interests. The usurpation of Palestinian lands by
\nthe Zionist movement is thus seen as an infringement on the rights of Muslims
\nto their land and holy sites.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Islamic
\nSharia prohibits aggression and injustice. Since global Zionism has forcibly
\ndisplaced Palestinians and committed massacres, this contradicts Islamic
\nprinciples that prohibit and criminalize injustice. Islam forbids aggression
\nagainst others, as Allah says, \u201cBut do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not
\nlike transgressors.\u201d (Al-Baqarah: 190)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Second:
\nOpposition to Zionism’s Lack of Coexistence with Others<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Islam
\nis a universal religion characterized by mercy for all, without discrimination
\nin rights and duties among its citizens, regardless of their religion, color,
\nor race. This contrasts with Zionism, which is based on racism, exclusion, and
\ndenial of others’ rights. The displacement of landowners and the usurpation of
\ntheir rights is a fundamental Zionist project, entirely opposing the core
\nprinciples of Islam that call for justice and respect for others’ rights, even
\nif we dislike them. Allah says, \u201cO you who have believed, be persistently
\nstanding firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a
\npeople prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.\u201d
\n(Al-Maidah: 8)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The prohibition of normalizing relations with the
\nZionist entity, assisting it, and forming alliances with it; the obligation to
\nboycott it economically, politically, and culturally.<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Third:
\nRejection of Racism and the Principle of Racial Superiority<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

People
\nare equal in Islam; their origin is one, and their Lord is one. The Prophet
\nMuhammad (peace be upon him) said: \u201cO you people,
\nindeed your Lord is One. Indeed, there is no virtue that an Arab has over a
\nnon-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab, nor a red (white) person over a black
\nperson, nor a black person over a [white] person except by piety; verily, the
\nmost honorable of you with Allah is the one who has most Taqwa.\u201d <\/span>(2) On
\nthe contrary, Zionists believe that Jews are the chosen people of Allah and
\nthat others are mere servants for their service. Allah says, \u201cThe Jews and the Christians say, ‘We are the children of
\nAllah and His beloved.’ Say, ‘Then why does He punish you for your sins?
\nRather, you are human beings from among those He has created.’\u201d <\/span>(Al-Maidah:
\n18)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Fourth:
\nRejection of Alliance with Oppressors<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Islam
\nforbids cooperation with or aiding oppressors. Allah says, \u201cAnd do not incline
\ntoward those who do wrong, lest you be touched by the Fire.\u201d (Hud: 113), and
\n\u201cAnd cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and
\naggression.\u201d (Al-Maidah: 2) Since Zionism is based on injustice and aggression
\nto achieve its goals, supporting it in any form is religiously forbidden.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Fifth:
\nRejection of Western Dominance and Colonialism<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Given
\nthat Zionism is an instrument of the Western colonial scheme, or stemming from
\nthe Zionist Jewish- Western Christian alliance that seeks to control the
\nresources of the Islamic world, the establishment of the State of Israel was
\nwith unlimited Western support. Islam rejects Western dominance, whether
\nthrough direct occupation as before the establishment of the Zionist state or
\nindirectly after the apparent end of colonialism while its tools remained on
\nthe ground, with one of the most prominent being the Zionist entity. Thus,
\nZionism is part of a broader scheme to dismantle the Islamic Ummah and deplete
\nits resources, and we have been commanded to fight those who fight us. Allah
\nsays, \u201cFight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress.\u201d
\n(Al-Baqarah: 190), and \u201cAnd expel them from wherever they have expelled you.\u201d
\n(Al-Baqarah: 191)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Based
\non the above, it is forbidden to normalize relations with the Zionist entity,
\nto join any institution stemming from global Zionism, to assist them or form
\nalliances with them, and to boycott them economically, politically,
\nacademically, athletically and culturally. It is obligatory to fight them until
\nthey are expelled from Muslim lands. Practicing Jihad against them is the
\nimmediate duty of the Islamic Ummah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It
\nis shameful that some members of the Islamic Ummah follow the global Zionist
\nmovement knowingly or unknowingly, while there are Jews who oppose the idea of
\nZionism based on religious, cultural, or ideological reasons.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
